HAVE A 87 FORD RANGER STX THAT HAS A 2.9 LITER ENGINE. HAVE JUST PURCHASED A 302 TO DROP IN IT. I KNOW IT IS GOING TO BE SOME WORK, BUT WANT TO TRY TO PREPARE WHAT ELSE I AM GOING TO NEED TO WORK ON TO GET IT RUNNING. ANY SUGGESTIONS? THIS IS GOING TO BE A FAMILY PROJECT, SHOULD PROVE INTERESTING!

is the 302 fuel injected or carb? you'll need to fab up some new motor mounts from 1/4" steel. What kind of transmission you plan on running with the V8?

Check out some of these sites for reference:

www.jamesduff.com
www.advanceadapters.com

too name a few sites. Good luck! -Mike-
