Well just dropped off my truck at the dealership cause the transmission feels like its slipping. Drove it to and from work yesterday nothing and then today we left to go some where and after i get to around 40 miles an hour or so the rpms just shot up to around 5 grand and acted like it was in neutral i had to come to almost a complete stop and it would reengae back into gear. The part that sucks is that there tranny guy is working on someone elses now and might be tomorrow or the begining of next week before they can look at it. Anyone have any ideas what it might be? its under warranty so it will get fixed well hopefully BTW its a 07 XTL with the 4.6 and only has 10,500 miles

The first thing I thought of was the lock-up torque converter could be screwing up or getting mixed signals from the computer. Good Luck...Mike

it all depends which upshift that it went into the neutral condition. with that few kilometers i'm leaning towards a stuck valve in the valve body.

Well got some new Friday about the tranny they said 1st to 2nd is there 2nd to 3rd not there said it was the direct clutches that were out ordered the part and I probably won't get it back til Thrus or Friday so no truck for a week its under warranty so no cost to me. Now my question for them is going to be what might have caused it to go bad since it only has 10,500 miles on it and has never been off road.
