I just need some help with a stalling/starving problem. I checked the fuel pressure its in the 35-40 range, I checked the timing thinking maybe it jumped a tooth and its ok there.
I ran the codes and got:
22 o
24 o
22 o
24 o
10
31 c
I looked up all the codes(map,evap,iat..etc) and traced them back to the ECM to terminal 26, figuring it may be a bad ecm I swapped it and same thing.
can anyone shed any light on this?? its acting like starved for fuel but i know that not to be the case.
it was running perfect before this, and I just shut it off one night left it for a day or two, then this out of the blue.
yea it'll start up and then act like its running out of gas(yes it has plenty ..lol), it'll either die after a second or two..or bog when you hit the gas and then stall.
It is almost never the EEC. Where are you looking your codes up? I only see one of what you listed:
22- MAP sensor
24- ACT (Air Charge Temperature) Sensor
10- Cylinder #1 Failed Balance Test
31- EVP (EGR Valve Position) circuit problem
First, did you actually test or change your MAP sensor?
Next, the Air Charge Temperature Sensor on the intake manifold is part of your problem. The EEC uses it to sense the incoming air temp and mix the fuel accordingly. This is probably why your engine won't run.
Third, the EVP Sensor on the top of your EGR valve is responsible for that last code. You can test it to be sure.
Finally, I would double check that code 10 again. It should only display during a Key On Engine Running (KOER) test. Is that what you were doing? If not, recheck your codes.
Also, be sure to clear your codes after doing any work. Make sure that you are not re-reading old codes stored in memory.
That sure sounds like fuel. You don't have water in the fuel do you?
Did you change the fuel filter? A dirty filter can allow enough fuel to get through to create the correcrt pressure UNTILL you come on to the excelerator, then fuel can't get through fast enough to keep up with the demand.
