I am looking at getting new shocks for my truck, and am looking for opinions/recommendations on types and brands.

My truck is a 04 Screw FX4. I am looking for a smooth non jarring ride. The only offroading I do is into the woods during hunting, and ocassionally hauling wood (not very often). 99% of the drive is on the road. I do tow a bit (pop up camper, 2-4 place snowmobile trailer)

So lets here what you reccomend.

Thanks

Jon

The monroe sensatracks have always been a good all-around shock for general use like you described. Ranchos are good too, but usually a little stiffer.

Monroe "Reflex" They are what I went with on a F150 short bed/cab v6, and they were awesome IMO.

Hi, I purchased heavy duty LT gas shocks at Sears years ago. They came with a lifetime warranty, and replaced them FREE after 10+ years of hard driving, (didn't fail, I felt they were tired). I was in another State, no receipt. They said they can verify by looking at them. Replaced, no questions asked! Good Luck, POWERUPP!

If price isn't an option, Bilsteins are very good. Monroe's are also, and are a little less expensive.
