I have a 07 f-150 with a 5.4 and a 27 gallon tank. yesterday i had an 1/8 tank of gas left in it and decided to fill up. the gas pump clicked and i was very suprised to see that it only took 17 gallons. This does not seems right. 10 gallons left in an 1/8 tank??? Could my float be stuck or something along those lines? I didnt leave the keys in the ignition with the engine off or anything like that, which could have caused the needle to stick. any ideas??? thanks

Its normal to have 2-3 gallons of gas left in the tank when it says E, you may have a calibration issue with your gauge, Just a thought...Mike

shouldnt be off. i drive mine past e all the time and still has 2 and a half gallons in it. its designed to make you thinnk you have to fill up so you dont run out of gas. dont worry, it ain't broke.
