| this is my first post, but got some really needed info of the old forums . I,m not new to engine swaps ,but this internet has really open my eyes to what you can learn and i hope my 97 f150 with the 6cyl. 5 sp. can open up some ideas cause the auto makers really seem to be dragging there heels on fuel milage ,so i,ve takin it into my own hands and ask "if an old guy from Saskatchewan,Canada can make a half ton that gets more fuel milage than any factory built pickup whats wrong here",anyway posted some older pictures of the 6 cyl on my member post so take a look and tell me if i,m on the right track or am i goin down a oneway the wrong way! thanks to all an ,season greetings mike.lev |

| Hmmm... Mike, where are you from? I'm from Moose Jaw. I have some comments on the issue but I've been keeping them to myself.
Which engine did you use? Tell me more... _________________ 2007 Ranger, Black 2001 SuperCrew, 98 SuperCab 4x4 |

| Great post. Which 6 cyl diesel did you use? It looks like a Nissan 6 cyl diesel conversion out of the 80's Maxima, vs the industrial Nissan 6 cyl diesel found in the late 70's and early 80's IH Traveller. Also, did you use the stock Ford/Mazda 5 spd manual trans or the trans that came w the engine?? |
