Both driver and passenger side power mirrors on my F150 only work going down or to the right. Up and left do not work at all and it is the same on both mirrors. I was thinking that it was the switch, but wanted some other opinions first.

I'm guessing I can get to the switch and use a meter to see if power is coming out if the toggle is pushed up or to the left.

Thanks for any input you have.

Possibly, but it could also be a ground fault. Your switch works the same as this, but your wire colors MIGHT be different.

Thanks for the diagram. I'll print it out and if I get time this weekend, see what I can find out.

I had the same problem. Decided to take the switch apart and see how it worked. Figured out how it worked, and noticed that the contacts weren't making good contact and the left contact was corroded. I lifted the contact up a little bit and they all work fine now. (except for the left which is corroded. So i need to replace the switch or make my own contact) If you need pics of the disassembly let me know.
