I still cannot believe why marketing people still think we enjoy poor fuel economy, low horsepower and bad emissions when it is proven over and over again that the diesel can eliminate so many barrels of oil being purchase.Detroit is in a spiral of going out of business because they don't listen to what the customer wants. Hopefully the new foreign vehicle manufactures will listen to us (the customer).

Hey Jon for about $150 you can build your own bio-diesel machine. My buddy has one in his garage and it costs him about 30 cents a gallon to make out of grease from local restaurants.... He runs it a few vehicles, all you have to do is replace your fuel lines with metal lines rather than rubber because it will cause them to harden. So for 150 bucks plus a few fuel lines you can run any diesel on 100% bio-diesel!!

If you go to the website and look at the pictures something is a little fishy. There is no doubt that there will be a diesel f150, but why would the truck have a tach that goes to 7000rpm? just a little odd.

I hope the engineers at Ford make sure the truck will be allowed to be fueled with 100% Biodiesel. I love my 2004 Lariat 4X4, but would LOVE to be able to commute 60 miles a day in my 2009.5 Ford F150 BIODIESEL powered truck.
COME'ON FORD ENGINEERS GIVE US WHAT WE NEED TO AFFORD TO RUN / DRIVE OUR FORD TRUCK INTO THE FUTURE!! Screw the gas companies!!

I don't understand why Ford acts like this is something new. I lived over seas and had a 4 cylinder turbo diesel in a full time four wheel drive. It was a 7 passenger suv that I averaged 36 mpg every day. It had lots of power and finally died after 300k miles. Then I only took the turbo off of it and it drove fine. Lacked the power it had but was good. I think all the auto makers here think we are dumb, why do they sell vehicles overseas that get great gas mileage but not to us for a good price. I have a Ford F-150 and have had a few and I Love my Fords. They could have been selling us a good full size truck that got great gas milage and lasted forever all this time. Look at the old F250 with the Old Diesel they put in the early 90 and 80's trucks. Those Ford trucks lasted forever.
